5 kg tub of Chicktec Egg Wash Powder suitable for hand or machine washing of eggs. A combined egg washing and bactericide powder for hatching and table eggs.

Directions: Mix the powder at 1:200 solution i.e. 5g to 1 litre of water: 50g to 10 litres. Bring the temperatire to 35 deg C(100deg F) for dipping. For manual sanitisation, place the eggs in a basket and completely immerse the eggs for 10-15 minutes. When using oscillating machine, do not immerse the eggs for more than 10 mins. Avoid excessive washing of eggs and prepare fresh solution after each cycle. Do not rinse the eggs but allow to dry in the air for a protective coating.

FSF Note: Egg shells are porous when newly laid so the less time immersed in water the better i.e. do not leave them longer that the advised time and less if possible, so that no solution is 'drawn' into the egg.
